Puttin' on the Pink

Our Organization

Puttin on the Pink is a 501c3 nonprofit organization that was founded in 2012 on the principle of providing underserved women in our community the access to free vouchers for mammograms and breast ultrasounds. What began as a goal to provide our community with awareness, education, and financial contributions, has turned over into a foundation that supports preventative diagnostics as well as providing transportation assistance and prescription assistance for women that are currently undergoing treatments for breast cancer.

Our Mission

To work within our community to promote awareness, present education and provide contributions that will go towards saving the lives of women in our community by preventing breast cancer.

Our History

Beginning in 2011, our first “Breast Cancer Awareness Gala” was a small intimate event aimed to raise money to promote breast cancer awareness. All proceeds from this first event supported the Susan G. Komen Foundation. In 2012, we put together a structured committee, developed the Puttin’ on the Pink Foundation and held our second gala event that exceeded our goals to raise money and develop a plan to provide free mammograms and other services to individuals through physician offices, hospitals and other non-profits. Each year we have continued to grow and fulfill our promise to our community.

2024 Brings new things to Puttin on the Pink, We now have a new Chapter in Marion County MS.
